DETAILED ITENERARY

After arrival at the Delhi Airport, meet & greet at the airport with our representative and get transferred to hotel. Rest of the night is at leisure.

Overnight in Delhi.

After breakfast, proceed for Delhi sightseeing starting with a visit to Red Fort; Declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Red Fort is a 16th-century treasure made entirely out of red sandstone and representing the zenith of Mughal art displayed through the floral motifs and calligraphy on its walls. Also take drive past of India Gate, President House, Parliament House. Visit: Jama Masjid

 

Afterwards reach Rajghat, a memorial where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. An eternal flame burns on one side of this memorial. Visit Humayun’s Tomb – the first garden-style tomb of India. The main highlight of this tomb, inspired by Persian architecture, is the four garden squares with water passage channels surrounding the tomb. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan – the residence of the President of India, and India Gate – an archway built in honor of the soldiers who died in World War I. Also, visit Qutub Minar built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak in 1193 to mark the beginning of Muslim rule in India.

 

Overnight in Delhi.

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Mandawa. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. After relaxation, explore Mandawa, stroll through its bustling bazaars and pick up things of your interest. In the evening, explore the various beautiful Havelis in this small attractive village and interact with locals on the go. Visit the Shekhawati region adorned with Havelis built by the rich merchants dating back to 18th and 19th centuries.

Overnight in Mandawa

After breakfast, drive to Bikaner. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for half day Bikaner sightseeing with a visit to Junagarh Fort. It is a 16th century fort founded by Raja Rai Singh that encompasses old palaces, temples and a mosque. It is distinguished by 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. There is a museum inside the fort featuring royal costumes, textiles and accessories, and reveals changing cultural eras in its display of family portraits of the former rulers. Later, visit the Camel research and breeding farm: The only one-of-its-kind in Asia extending over 2,000 acres of semi-arid land. The camels are sold in the cattle fairs of Bikaner and Jaisalmer, where they are decorated in traditional finery, colorful and complementing the stark brown terrain of the desert environment.

After breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer. Check-in to the hotel. Day free at leisure. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

After breakfast, head for Jaisalmer sightseeing with visit to the Jaisalmer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the group Hill Forts of Rajasthan. This fort got its name from the Rajput ruler Rawal Jaisal in 1156 AD, who build this fort. It’s massive yellow sandstone walls are tawny lion colour during the day and fades to honey-gold as the sun sets. For this reason, it is also known as the Sonar Quila or Golden Fort. Outstanding features within the fort are Megh Durbar (Palace of Clouds), Hindu and Jain temples, Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli & Patwon-Ki-Haveli – some of the beautiful mansions with stone carving and latticework of breath-taking intricacy. It is said to be the 2nd oldest fort of Rajasthan. No visit to Jaisalmer is complete without a trip to the picturesque sand dunes. In the evening, go for an excursion to the famous Sam Sand Dunes located on the outskirts of Jaisalmer for a solitary desert experience. Go on a Camel Ride and soak in the mesmerizing sunset views at the sand dunes and interact with the locals on the go. It is the best way to witness the rural and rustic desert life of Rajasthan.

In morning after breakfast, proceed to Jodhpur. On reaching, check-in at the hotel. Day will be free at leisure.

Overnight in Jodhpur.

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Jodhpur. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort perched on a 150 m high hill, built in 1459. A well preserved old cannon overlooking the city is a sight to behold. The Battle scars of canon ball hit by attacking armies of Jaipur can still be seen on the second gate. Within the fort are some magnificent palaces with meticulously carved panels, latticed windows or “Jharokhas” with evocative names. The chambers of Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, the Sileh Khana and the Daulat Khana speak volumes of the splendor and glamor of the bygone era. Next, visit the Jaswant Thada – a graceful marble cenotaph built in the loving memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II (Maharaja of Jodhpur from 1873-1895). A visit to this structure is through the rocky hills that gives it a secluded and a mystic aura. Later evening free for leisure to visit market.

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Udaipur. Upon arrival at Udaipur check in to hotel and relax.

Overnight in Udaipur.

After breakfast, go for Udaipur sightseeing. Visit the City Palace built in 1559. Popular attractions of this palace are the Durbar Hall, Crystal Gallery, Palace Museum and Jagdish Temple. Later, visit Sahelion Ki Bari that is a small ornamental garden built in the honor of Royal Ladies for recreational purpose and visit Lok Kala Mandal featuring a collection of folk art items like folk dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments, folk deities and paintings. Puppet shows and folk dancing performances are conducted every evening from 1800 to 1900 in an adjacent open air theatre. Next stop will be Shilpgram to see the village arts & crafts. Evening free at leisure or you can take a walk through the narrow lanes and back streets of Udaipur up to the Washing Ghats at the lake Pichola.

Enjoy Boat ride at Lake Pichola.

Overnight in Udaipur.

In the morning after breakfast, drive to Pushkar. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, explore Pushkar city, visit the ghats of the sacred Pushkar Lake dotted with various Hindu temples. This lake is said to be of huge significance as it is said to have medicinal and curative properties. Visit the renowned Brahma Temple – the only temple primarily dedicated to Lord Brahma in India located on a bank of the Pushkar Lake. Spend time exploring the bustling markets of Pushkar.

Overnight in Pushkar.

In the morning after breakfast, head to Jaipur. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, you can proceed for some shopping in the city that is famous for block printing and various other handicrafts.

Overnight in Jaipur.

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing. Visit the Amer Fort dating back to 16th century that displays private halls, pavilions, former private chambers of the King and royal Rajput women. The reflection of this fort falling on the Maota Lake, is truly captivating. Enjoy an Elephant ride here. Explore the City Palace consisting of former private and public chambers, silver vessels, courtyards, gateways, private chambers of the King and lot more. Later visit the Jantar Mantar which is an astronomical observatory that features the World’s largest Sundial – Samrat Yantra. Then visit the Hawa Mahal – a five-storey palace built in 1799 during Rajput rule. It is popularly known for its intricately designed 953 windows adorned with spectacular latticework.

Optional: Later, afternoon is kept free to visit the famous markets of textiles, gems, carpets, and handicrafts. You can also shop for some souvenirs.

Overnight in Jaipur.

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Agra. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri – a historic abandoned town established by Emperor Akbar (3rd Mughal Emperor of India). Upon arrival in Agra, check-in at the hotel.

Overnight in Agra.

After breakfast, visit the Agra Fort that resembles the magnificent Red Fort in Delhi. The Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience) and the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors) are must-see attractions here.

Later, visit the Taj Mahal – the most extravagant symbol of love, dedication and purity ever that took almost 22 years to build. It is an ivory-white marble monument where rests the mortals of Mughal Emperor Shahjahan (who built Taj Mahal) and his wife (Mumtaz). An interesting fact about this stunning edifice is that it turns pinkish in the morning, milky white in the evening and golden at night as the moonlight falls upon it. Watching sunset over this iconic monument is truly a sight to behold.

Later drive to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi check in to your hotel and relax.

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Delhi airport to catch the flight for your own ward destination.
